Configuring metadata mapping for custom properties
If you have document metadata you would like to publish into a publication so that it is available for use within your WCMS application, the following actions are required:

Step
1
Make sure the property is defined on your custom content type.

2
Add the property to the content type Hyper.Net Topic.
3
Add the property to the Hyper.Net schema associated with the document type profile in Hyper.Net.

Tip
If you wish to add new properties to your content types, the process is the same as the one described in Copying standard publication metadata to a custom content type.

Tip
In unusual situations, it may be necessary to map a document metadata property into a publication metadata property. In this case it is not necessary to add the metadata to a Hyper.Net schema. Instead, it is necessary to modify the base field mapping definitions maintained for Hyper.Net's standard publication metadata set. For details, refer to the Hyper.Net Support Database at www.coextant.com.
