The Hyper.Net Event Receiver on the Hyper.Net Transformation Server is not working properly. The diagram below indicates where this problem is occurring within the Hyper.Net process.
It is unlikely that the Event Sender on the SharePoint server is responsible for the problem because the creation and sending of events occurs with any user ID authorized to use SharePoint. The Event Receiver on the Hyper.Net side, however, must be authorized to access both SharePoint and file system resources on the Hyper.Net Transformation Server. If the Event Receiver is not functioning after installation, the ID it is using probably does not have the required access. This can occur when the administrator ID provided during the installation process does not have sufficient access rights. To confirm this, check the event log to determine if access failures have occurred.
Here's how to correct the problem:
| |
1. |
On the Hyper.Net Transformation Server, log out and log in again with an ID that has rights to access SharePoint and file system resources on the server.
|
| |
2. |
Uninstall and then install the Event Receiver while logged in with this ID. There are two ways to do this:
|
| |
2.1. |
Use the SharePoint solution approach if you used this method to install Hyper.Net
|
| |
2.2. |
Use the manual approach:
|
| |
2.2.1. |
Go to 12\template\features\HNEventtreceiver
|
| |
2.2.2. |
Open both the uninstall and install files associated with the Event Receiver in a text editor
|
| |
2.2.3. |
Verify that the contents of these files is correct for your server
|
| |
2.2.4. |
Execute uninstall
|
| |
2.2.5. |
Execute install
